Adaptec and MS deliver single-click CD creation with Media Player 7

"...Adaptec announced today that Microsoft's new Windows Media Player 7 will integrate Adaptec CD recording technology, enabling users of popular CD recording devices to create custom CDs directly from within Windows Media Player 7. The resulting custom CD will be playable on standard home, car, and portable audio CD players.

Microsoft's support of Adaptec CD recording within Windows Media Player 7 brings CD recording to millions of Windows users,`` said Tom Shea, general manager of Adaptec's Software Products Group. ''Applications like Microsoft windows Media Player 7 are making the computer a primary center for accessing and storing music. The integration of Adaptec's CD recording software makes it easy for users to take their favorite music from the Internet and listen to it wherever they go.``

The ability to easily create your own music CDs is what customers have been asking for,`` said Dave Fester, general manager of marketing for the Digital Media Division at Microsoft Corp.
