We got the following email:

"..I have a Philips CDD4201 CD-R/RW 4x4x24 IDE running on win build (2195).

This drive is also re-badged as:
IDE-CD R/RW 4x4x24
IOMEGA ZIPCD 4x650
WAITEC WT2444EI
Traxdata CDRW4424 PLUS

I have tested the drive with all available firmware's and several soft's with Win2k and found that firmware v1.10 is the only revision that fully works! v1.08 has problems writing at 4x and will only write at 2x, (any soft on w2000!). v1.30 & v1.40 has problems reading CD's correctly. This only leaves v1.10 as a fully functioning firmware all platforms and all soft!

Phillips don't have the firmware on their site and can be downloaded at here. BTW if it works don't fix it :-).."
