Harman At IFA 2014

Highlights of HARMAN's booth at this year's IFA 2014 show include the JBL Charge 2 Portable Speaker System, the new JBL Cinema Base sound system and the new JBL Cinema SB350 soundbar with powered wireless subwoofer system.

The JBL Charge 2 Portable Speaker features a Social Mode, which lets up to three people take turns streaming the music from their mobile phone, tablet, or laptop play-lists. With AUX-in and Bluetooth wireless streaming, JBL Charge 2 accepts virtually any sound source. Dual drivers and twin passive bass radiators deliver big bass and a 75Hz to 20kHz punch. Its 6000 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery keeps the music going for a full 12 hours, with power to spare for charging phones, tablets, and other devices through its USB port.

But JBL Charge 2 connectivity is also about staying connected. You can use Bluetooth to communicate with friends through JBL Charge 2 hands-free conference speakerphone. ATI SoundClear echo cancellation speakerphone technology, and the built-in MWM conferencing microphone ensure low-noise phone conversations. And Charge 2's backlit controls make it easy to use wherever you need great sound and portable charging.

The JBL Charge 2 Portable Speaker System is now available for MSRP $149.95.

The new JBL Cinema Base sound system (MSRP $349.95) is offing 240 watts of home theater sound for almost any flat screen TV. Its all-in-one tabletop form is designed to fit under most TVs up to 60". JBL Cinema Base connects with a single cable to your TV using an HDMI, optical or analog connection, and streams music from smartphones or tablets wirelessly using Bluetooth. 240 watts of power drive the built-in 65 mm left- and right-channel speakers and integrated, independently adjustable dual 90 mm subwoofers. The device also features Harman Volume, which keeps sudden volume changes from disrupting the experience and can learn any TV remote volume control. While you're watching, JBL Cinema Base's side USB port charges other devices, like your phone or tablet.

The new JBL Cinema SB350 soundbar (MSRP $399.95) comes with a powered wireless subwoofer system and offers 320 watts of home theater sound for your TV.

The Cinema SB350 delivers that quality 2.1 system sound in a compact soundbar plus wireless powered subwoofer system that adapts to your own TV remote and fits your flatscreen.

The separate subwoofer wirelessly connects to the Soundbar and with independent volume control, can be adjusted for the perfect level of bass at any time from your remote. All this sound and functionality connects with a single cable to your TV using an HDMI, optical or analog connection, and streams music from smartphones or tablets wirelessly using Bluetooth. 160 watts of power drive the Soundbar's built-in left- and right-channel speakers with another 160 watts for the wireless subwoofer. The JBL Cinema SB350 also features Harman Volume.

HARMAN also announced at IFA two new Harman Kardon Omni loudspeakers and the Harman Kardon Adapt wireless adapter to upgrade your existing home stereo system. The design, relying on a standard Wi-Fi network, means wireless home audio has never been easier to set up or manage.

The Harman Kardon Omni system comprises three new products: Omni 10 (MSRP $199.95) and Omni 20 (MSRP $299.95) wireless HD loudspeakers and the Adapt plug-in (MSRP $129.95) to upgrade your existing home stereo system, all powered by Blackfire Research wireless media technology. The Harman Kardon app as well as Bluetooth capability let you access and stream any music from your phone, streaming services or apps seamlessly.

Unlike other wireless streaming systems, the Harman Kardon Omni 10 and Omni 20 support 24-bit/96kHz Studio Quality HD audio streaming.

You can use the Harman Kardon Omni 10 and Omni 20 loudspeakers as standalone speakers in every room of your house. You can combine two of them as a wireless stereo system, or even five to create a full multi-channel speaker system.

The new Infinity One portable speaker system (MSRP $299.95) features an array of four 1.75" active speakers and 25 watts of power to dual tuned passive radiators deliver 70 Hz to 20 kHz musical clarity. Equalizing acoustic software technology and the 25-watt amplifier are housed in a compact, ceramic-coated aluminum chassis.

Infinity One pairs with your Bluetooth devices, including phones, tablets, laptops, and portable music players. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 10 hours playtime, and will charge other devices through its standard USB connector.

HARMAN's new Harman Kardon Esquire Mini (MSRP $149.95) embodies elegance and portability. Completely portable and wireless, it provides sound from its dual drivers and enhanced bass port design.

Harman Kardon Esquire Mini is also Bluetooth-enabled for full stereo streaming with your devices. It doubles as a conference phone system with dual-microphone and built-in echo- and noise-cancellation for clear conference calling.

Its built in rechargeable battery provides 8 hour of playtime and you can for charge your mobile devices on the go with the USB port.

Last but not least, HARMAN's new Kardon Soho Wireless headphones (MSRP $249.95) feature ear-cup-mounted touch-sensitive controls providing instant access to remote functions.
