Zynga Plans New Mobile Games For March

Zynga said on Monday it will release its "FarmVille 2: Country Escape" game and two other updated core titles before the end of March.

FarmVille, the franchise that turned 400 million of user into virtual farmers, is coming to mobile screens with the coming launch of FarmVille 2: Country Escape. The new game builds on the story of FarmVille 2 by offering a Connected Rewards system between the current web game and the new mobile version. FarmVille 2: Country Escape delivers both online and offline game play and also comes new Social Control options.

Poker, the game that started it all for Zynga, will be also updated. The New Zynga Poker will be "a mobile-first game with more personalized gameplay, lightning fast performance and sophisticated design," according to Zynga COO Clive Downie. The New Zynga Poker delivers new layers of social, making it easier for you and your friends to join the same table and instantly connect. The new game will also respond and learns as you progress, automatically adapting to your skill level and placing you at a poker table that matches your level, gameplay patterns and preferences.

Zynga will also deliver a new Words With Friends that builds on the previous favorite game, which has become Apple App Store?s #1 free game of all time. The game will feature a new Dictionary feature allowing you to build your vocabulary with definitions and audio pronunciation.

Zynga says all three of these games - FarmVille 2: Country Escape, the New Zynga Poker and the New Words With Friends - are launching soon in select markets and will be available worldwide to all players in the coming months.

Zynga's old business model, which relied heavily on selling virtual goods to gamers on Facebook's platform, began to disintegrate in 2012 as users abandoned Facebook games and moved to playing on mobile devices.
