Nokia Teases With X Android Smartphone At Mobile World Congress

The low-end Android-based Nokia X phone, codenamed Normandy, is set to launch at the Mobile World Congress 2014, as the Finish company is it today.

Today's teaser image posted on Twitter by evleaks shows four black arrows all pointing to one location to form a green X.

The specifications of Nokia's first Android phone have been leaked online, and include a 4-inch display, a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage. Nokia is expected to ship the X with a 5-megapixel camera along with a version of Android that will support some apps alongside an app store for developers to port their existing Android apps across.

The Mobile World Congress opens its doors in Barcelona Monday and besides the Nokia handset, Samsung will come up with a new flagship model, the Galaxy S5.

Reports say the Galaxy S5 will have a 5.25-inch screen with a 2560 by 1440 pixel resolution and a 16-megapixel or 20-megapixel camera with optical imaging stabilization. Potential processors include a new in-house Exynos chip or Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor running at up to 2.5GHz.
