Windows Blue Build Leak Shows Interface Tweaks, Windows Blue Servers and Blue Windows RT Build

Screenshots and videos of a supposed build of Windows Blue have leaked online, showing some interface changes compared to Windows 8. There are also indications that Microsoft is readying Blue builds of Windows RT and Windows Server.

According to the leaks, Windows Blue is getting some new tweaks such as resizable tiles, such as those already present in Windows Phone 8. It seems that users will be also able to customize the Start Screen without having to use the Desktop Control Panel. The screen shots also include some new apps, including a timer, calculator, sound-recorder and a "Movie Moments" app.

A new snap view also appears on a leaked video, which allows two windows to be snapped side-by-side so that each takes up half the size of the display, as well as an option to have four apps displayed simultaneously.

In addition, Micorosoft is also expected to offer Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) is built into Blue. Neowin has already noted that IE11 may include tab-syncing functionality, which could potentially allow users to sync tabs across Windows Phone and Windows.

According to other reports, settings that are currently built into the Windows 8 Control Panel are also going Metro with the new OS update.

The successor to Windows 8, Windows Blue, is considerd to be an updated version of Windows 8. Microsoft is reportedly trying to release it to manufacturing this summer. Blue versions of Windows Phone, Windows Server and Windows services and apps are expected to arrive around the same time.
