
Rumor has it users may soon be able to surf the Web on
Microsoft's gaming console and do so with voice and
gesture commands.
According to The Verge tech blog, Microsoft may
integrate Internet Explorer 9 into Xbox 360 consoles
sometime in the near future. Microsoft is also said to
be testing the use of Kinect voice and motion control to
help users browse the Web.
Currently, Xbox 360 has Bing video search and Kinect
voice recognition, a feature that has gotten mixed
reviews from users who say they have to speak loudly and
use very specific commands.
The Verge speculates that there may be an official
announcement soon, especially with the E3 gaming show
coming up.
Xbox 360 continues to hold the number one spot in the
U.S., selling more units in April than any other
console. According to NDP, Microsoft' sconsole in April
holded 47 percent share of current-generation console
sales in the U.S.
