HP Unveils New PC Solutions

HP today showcased its new line of computers, the first show of resolve for the newly created HP Printing and Personal Systems group.

Announced at the Shanghai Expo Center, the new products, include:

- HP ENVY SpectreXT, ENVY Sleekbooks and HP ENVY Ultrabooks;
- The enterprise-ready HP EliteBook Folio 9470m;
- HP t410 All-in-One Smart Zero Client, which features single-wire Power over Ethernet;
- HP Z220 Workstations and HP EliteBook Mobile Workstations;
- HP EliteBook p-series notebooks that are designed to MIL-STD 810G testing for vibration, dust, altitude, temperature and drops. The new series features the HP EliteBook 2170p as well as new additions to the configurable HP ProBook b-series and the redesigned HP ProBook s-series.
- Four desktop PC series - the HP Compaq Pro 4300 Business Desktop and All-in-One PC, the HP Compaq Pro 6300 and the HP Compaq Elite 8300.

The HP ENVY SpectreXT boasts an all-metal design. It measures 14.5 millimeters (mm) thin, weighs 3.07 pounds and includes a 13.3-inch HD diagonal display with a slim bezel line. It also includes 128 gigabytes (GB) of solid state storage and up to eight hours of battery life. An array of ports, including Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0 and HDMI, provide more ways to network without compromising size.

It is Powered by the latest Intel Core processors, the HP SpectreXT supports mSATA solid state drives and Intel Rapid Start Technology. To safeguard confidential data and thwart cyber threats, the HP SpectreXT is preloaded with one year of Absolute Data Protect; two years of Norton Internet Security; and Intel Identity Protection.

Designed for rich audio quality, the HP SpectreXT features Beats Audio over quad speakers and via the headphone jack.

The HP ENVY SpectreXT is expected to be available in the United States on June 8 with a starting price of $999.99.

As thin as 19.8 mm and starting at less than 4 pounds, the new HP ENVY notebooks feature a soft-touch, slip-resistant base in black or red.

The HP ENVY Ultrabook, available in 14- and 15.6-inch diagonal display sizes, includes the latest Intel Core processors and offers up to eight or nine hours of battery life, respectively. The Ultrabook systems include an mSATA solid state drive along with Intel Rapid Start, Intel Identity Protection Technology, Intel Smart Response and Intel Smart Connect technologies.

The HP ENVY Ultrabook systems with 14-inch and 15.6-inch display sizes are expected to be available in the United States on May 9 with starting prices of $749.99 and $799.99, respectively.

The HP ENVY Sleekbook - available with either a 14-inch diagonal display and the latest Intel Core processors, or a 15.6-inch diagonal display and the latest AMD Accelerated Processing Units (APU)?boasts up to eight or nine hours of battery life, respectively. Optional discrete graphics on Intel platforms and discrete-class graphics from AMD on AMD platforms are available.

In addition to Beats Audio, the ENVY Sleekbooks and Ultrabook systems contain dual speakers and a subwoofer.

The HP ENVY Sleekbook with 14-inch display size is expected to be available in the United States on May 9 with a starting price of $699.99. The HP 15.6-inch Sleekbook is expected to be available in the United States on June 20 with a starting price of $599.99.

The new HP EliteBook Folio 9470m is the first HP Ultrabook to provide a lightweight design without compromising its enterprise features. Measuring 14 inches diagonally and weighing 3.6 pounds, this 19-mm-thin Ultrabook offers a full array of key ports and connectivity options for business users, including optional built-in 4G wireless WAN, full-sized Ethernet, VGA, DisplayPort and USB 3.0 connections.

The HP EliteBook Folio offers all-day battery life to get you through the business day and the option for a secondary battery that provides extended freedom from the power outlet. It also features a user-replaceable battery. The docking capability provides multidisplay support, integrated charging capability, and additional USB and legacy ports.

The HP EliteBook Folio features an optional solid state drive the Windows 7 Professional operating system that enable quick boot up. The Ultrabook's third-generation Intel Core vPro processor also delivers intelligent performance with embedded security.

The HP SpectreXT and HP ENVY Ultrabook also deliver configurations equipped with Windows 7 Professional. The HP SpectreXT additionally offers an embedded TPM security chip that protects data in email as well as information on the solid state drive for security-conscious users.

The HP EliteBook Folio 9470m is expected to be available in the United States in October.

The HP t410 AiO operates within 13 watts of power envelope over PoE,delivering great energy efficiency for businesses. It combines an 18.5-inch diagonal display and smart zero client in one space-saving unit. The HP t410 AiO requires no external power supply because it is powered via Ethernet connection.

The HP t410 AiO supports multiple protocols and can be reprogrammed on the fly. Auto-sensing technology automatically connects to the network and searches for a customer?s existing client virtualization environments, be it from Citrix, Microsoft or VMware. This allows companies with a mix of infrastructures to use the HP t410 AiO across any of these solutions.

The HP t410 AiO also features an ARM processor technology with an integrated digital signal processor that gives the HP t410 AiO the capability to display full-screen high-definition (HD) video, complex graphical content and rich media, while still running at optimum performance levels.

The HP t410 All-in-One Smart Zero Client is expected to be available this summer.

The HP EliteBook 2170p is the company's smallest and lightest-weight business notebook. The 11.6-inch diagonal notebook weighs in under 2.9 pounds, yet still supports enterprise-class connectivity, security and management features. With up to nine hours of battery life, the HP EliteBook 2170p is also compatible with the common docking stations used across the HP business notebook portfolio for maximum efficiency.

The new HP EliteBook 2570p steps up to a 12.5-inch-diagonal high-definition (HD) display and also packs an optical drive and extensive connectivity options, including 4G wireless WAN for LTE. Also new today, the HP 2570p Docking Station and a long-life battery support the HP EliteBook 2570p with advanced features.

The HP EliteBook 2170p and HP EliteBook 2570p start at $999 and $1,099, respectively, and are expected to be available on June 22.

The HP EliteBook 8470p and 8570p premier business notebooks offer business-critical durability, and security features as well as expanded battery options, including an HP EliteBook 8470p configuration that delivers the best industry battery life?up to 36 hours of run time on a single charge when combined with the optional HP Ultra Extended Life Notebook Battery. The notebooks respectively tout 14- or 15.6-inch diagonal displays and deliver audio quality powered by SRS Premium Sound PRO.

The HP EliteBook 8470p and 8570p start at $899 and are expected to be available on June 4.

The new configurable HP ProBook b-series mainstream notebook PCs offer 14- or 15.6-inch diagonal displays with UMA or discrete graphics. Intel vPro Technology provides IT manageability capabilities on the HP ProBook 6470b and 6570b, and the HP ProBook 6475b delivers the latest AMD technology for affordable business productivity.

Sporting a new industrial design, the HP ProBook s-series notebook PCs provide easy-to-use security for small and medium businesses, combined with an aluminum casing. Measuring 13.3 to 17.3 inches diagonally, the notebooks offer multimedia capabilities for videoconferencing in the office and entertainment consumption after hours in both Intel and AMD-based configurations.

The HP ProBook 6470b and 6570b start at $769, the HP ProBook 6475b starts at $669 and the HP ProBook s-series starts at $589. All three HP ProBook series are expected to be available on June 4. The latest all-in-one desktop solution for businesses, the HP Compaq Pro 4300 All-in-One is HP's most space-efficient commercial all-in-one built for business-class performance with the latest PC technologies. The design is equipped to collaborate with multimedia features as well as connectivity enhancements like a serial port and expandable storage, including solid state and self-encrypting hard drives. It features a 20-inch diagonal, LED backlit display and is powered by third-generation Intel Core processors and Intel HD Graphics.

Designed for small businesses, the HP Compaq Pro 4300 Small Form Factor Desktop PC offers the latest Intel processors.

The HP Compaq Pro 6300 Series is powered by the latest Intel processors and integrated Intel HD Graphics. All of the new HP business desktops also feature a choice of optional discrete graphics solutions from AMD and NVIDIA.

HP's top-of-the-line commercial tower PCs, the HP Compaq Elite 8300 Series, incorporates the latest management, security and expansion with a premium support experience through the unique HP Elite service program.

The HP Compaq Pro 4300 All-in-One is expected to be available in Asia on June 22, and in the Americas this fall. The HP Compaq Elite 8300 and HP Compaq Pro 6300 start at $679 and $579, respectively, and are expected to be available on June 4.
