Asustek Will Not Have Booth at CeBIT 2012

Asustek Computer will not have a booth at CeBIT 2012 and is expected to be available for clients and media in smaller rooms, located around the show's huge halls.

CeBIT used to one of the major IT shows worldwide and was an important event to help vendors land orders from clients in Europe. However, the economic crisis and the slow market has had an impact to the number of participants and buyers at the show.

So far, AsusTek's presence at the show had been impressive with huge booths covering many square meters. The company now seems to focus on the Computex show in Taiwan, in which participants include all upstream players such as Intel, AMD and Nvidia.

Meanwhile, Asustek's rivals Gigabyte Technology and Micro-Star International (MSI) will participate at this year's CeBIT, although their scale will not be as large as in previous years. ASRock and Biostar also plan to set up small booths at the show.

CeBIT 2012 will be hosted from March 6-10 in Hannover, Germany.
