Google has made available the Gmail app for iOS againafter having
fixed a bug discovered last week.
Two weeks ago, Google introduced its Gmail app for iOS. However, it
contained a bug which broke notifications and displayed an error
message, so the company removed it from the App Store.
In the short time the app was public Google received a lot of
feedback and feature requests. This included requests for everything
from bigger features like multiple account support to customizations
like improved notifications and mobile specific signatures. Google
promises to offer all these listed above plus more in the upcomimg
version of the app. For the current version, it offers an improved
handling of image HTML messages - they are now sized to fit to the
screen and users can pinch to zoom in.
To try out the
Gmail app today, install it from App Store on any
iOS 4+ device.
