CyberLink Demonstrates 3D Blu-ray On PC With PowerDVD Ultra at CES

CyberLink is demonstrating the future of home entertainment this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

As recent movie releases have shown, 3D brings an exciting new dimension to both animated and live action movies. CyberLink?s 3D Blu-ray solution will enable modern PCs to be able to take advantage of powerful graphics processors, decoding the new Multi-View Codec (MVC) for full-quality Blu-ray enjoyment with any compatible display. Upgrading to CyberLink?s forthcoming version of PowerDVD Ultra will make 3D Blu-ray accessible on desktop and notebook PCs.

"CyberLink is committed to offering the best 3D Blu-ray experience on the widest range of hardware platforms," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "Our engineering team has been working very closely with the Blu-ray Disc Association, and with all of the leading hardware vendors, including NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel. We?re excited to be able to give partners and press at CES a first-hand look at the incredible entertainment experience that 3D Blu-ray will bring to PCs in 2010."

The 3D Blu-ray capable version of PowerDVD Ultra is expected in mid 2010, prior to the release of 3D Blu-ray movie titles.
