Pioneer Upconverting DVD Player Encodes MP3 Files

Combining HDMI connectivity with advanced multi-format playback, Pioneer?s new player is an ideal source device for secondary room settings. Compact in size, the DV-420V features a length of only 16.5-inches.

The player features an all new song encoding feature that lets users take their favorite audio CDs and "rip" them into MP3 files that can be immediately transferred to a USB flash drive, hard drive or portable music player. Pioneer?s new DVD player offers users a way to manage and transport their favorite music and audio discs across a variety of platforms.



The DV-420V maximizes entertainment possibilities with a front panel USB port for playback of DivX Internet video and JPEG photos that can be enjoyed in dynamic HD quality on a connected television as well as compatibility for multiple audio (WMA and AAC) and video (WMV) format files.

The new model incorporates a sophisticated digital analog converter (DAC) that ensures high picture quality of standard DVD movies. The player is outfitted with component video and s-video connectivity ports for flexibility across a variety of television technologies and personal computers.

The Pioneer DV-420V will begin shipping in summer 2009 for the suggested price of $90.
