Verizon Launches Motorola Q9c

As had been rumored last week, Verizon Wireless began offering the Motorola Q9c yesterday.

This is a more business-oriented version of the Motorola Q9m smartphone that Verizon launched last August. The Q9c, despite being physically identical to the Q9m, features a different software package that emphasizes enterprise functions such as documents, email, and messaging, rather than the multimedia of the Q9m.

This device features a thumb keyboard, EV-DO high-speed Internet, GPS, QVGA screen, and Windows Mobile 6 Standard.

It also has a 1.3 MPx camera and a miniSD memory card slot that supports 8 GB cards.

The Q9c sells for for $250 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement. An additional $100 credit is available for customers who sign up for qualifying voice and data plans.

It can be found now on Verizon's web site.
