MSI at CeBIT

Apart from the "ECOlution" which is the main theme of this year's CeBIT, MSI will display its R&D capabilities and production technologies in mainboard and graphics card products, and new product designs in the notebook category.

MSI's main theme for this year's CeBIT is "ECOlution", short for eco-friendly and environmental evolution. MSI said that it develops products that will promote and empower the movement for environmental protection.

Support for 45nm, 1600 FSB processor and DDR3 memory architecture

MSI will present 6 mainboards which are based on the next-generation Intel 4 series chipset include X48, P45 & G45 in ATX and Micro-ATX form factors. MSI's all new 4 series mainboards support the Intel's 45 nanometer (nm) processor includes the company's new transistor formula and 45nm manufacturing process that boost a PC's performance, reduces power requirements and saves on battery life. It supports a front side bus (FSB) speed of 1600 MHz as well as a 1600 MHz DDR3 memory bus.

As an advocate in environmental protection, MSI high-end performance mainboard features the exclusive "GreenPower Design", which includes 4~6 phases PWM, Dual Channel PWM, and high-quality Hi-c CAP. The Green Power Design can address individual processors, chipsets and memory load conditions, automatically switching power supply circuit work.

Intel 45nm IPCs

MSI will launch industrial computing solutions based on Intel's latest processors. The MS-9818, an Intel platform supports Intel? Cantiga chipset and Intel 45nm Peryn processors. The Intel Cantiga chipset features an integrated 3D multimedia processing core that brings 3D screen performance and supports the latest Microsoft DirectX 10 standards. The MS-9818 is equipped with multiple video output ports as well. In addition to common DVI and D-Sub, the HDMI standard supports all the latest displays and LCD TVs.

The ICH9M/ICH9M-E Southbridge is perfect for extension. The MS-9818 also supports IDE, SATA, and CFII interface for storage media that can be increased up to eight USB ports, as well as PCI, mini Card expansion slots.

Home Server Mainboard ? Fuzzy Q35DO

MSI's Fuzzy Q35DO is based on the latest Intel Q35 chipset and ICH9DO. It supports desktop Intel dual-core processor Core 2 Duo. The Intel GMA3100 chipset has a built-in graphics core that provides power to 2D/3D performance and full support for DirectX 9.0c. It also comes with PCI-E x16 slots, SATA storage interface, D-Sub output, dual network and disk array.

High performance server board ? 5100 Master

MSI unveils the release of its new generation Intel Xeon processors high-end workstation platform ? 5100 Master server board, which provides a full-featured, affordable solution for high-performance users.

The 5100 Master integrates Dual-Xeon platform to support Intel Xeon 5400/5300/5200/5100 series processors with front side bus speeds of up to 1333MHz and also support for next-generation 45nm Intel products.

In order to reduce overall setup costs and power consumption, the 5100 Master abandons FB-DIMM and replaces it with a more standard and cheaper ECC Reg DDR2. It supports up to six DIMM with a maximum memory capacity of 48GB.

Besides the onboard XGI Z7 graphics card, the north bridge chip can support up to 30 PCI-E Lanes. The 5100 Master also supports three PCI-E slots ? x16, x8, and x4 respectively.

Aside from the south bridge ICH9R which provides six SATA2 ports, the 5100 Master also includes LSI logic SAS control chip to provide additional four SAS ports.

The first anion Notebook

MSI notebook will demonstrate its Green Concept product design! Combining today's computer technology and anion technology to create the worlds' first anion notebook, the MSI "Green Design" notebook features the release of high concentration anions for cleaning and purifying the air. Even when you are confined to a small area, you can still enjoy the benefits of clean air anywhere.

G Series with Turbo Battery Energy-Saving Technology

MSI's Gaming Series Notebook Computers support the exclusive 'Turbo Battery Technology', equipped in the GX600-08 model which will be introduced at CeBIT.

Through 'Turbo Battery Technology', MSI extends the battery life up to 20% compared to traditional notebook computers. When the notebook computer is in 'Turbo Battery' Mode, it will automatically adjust the systems by the workload to save power.

Low Cost PC: Ultra-small Size & Super Stylish Design

MSI has launched its two latest high-end and low-end Low Cost PCs with an appearance size of 300x65x240mm and a volume capacity of only 4.7 liters. It is designed to save space and easy to move around. It offers practical functionality for both home users and enterprises and all the essential functions to streamline operations.

Quiet & Power Efficient

The latest Intel platform is designed specifically for the cost-effective systems. It utilizes the latest 45nm processor with a clock speeds up to 1.6Hz and a 2.5w overall power consumptio. It comes with DDR2 memory, expandable up to a maximum 2GB. The chipset fully supports the Microsoft DirectX 9; users can easily install the Microsoft Vista. Because of the ultra-low-power processor, MSI Low Cost PC consumes less than 60W of power.

In addition to the Low Cost PC products, MSI also offers more barebone products. DIVA, a home multimedia digital computer comes with the latest AMD RS780 chipset and supports Full HD H.264 / VC1 full hardware decoding. The all-in-one 19-inch LCD PC - Quartz G31, supports a touch panel. And the Titan Series is designed to meet the need for high performance barebone system for home and office use.

The MSI booth at this year's CeBIT will be located in Hall 21 at Booth 34.
