At CeBIT, Logitech announced it will support the European launch of PLAYSTATION 3 with a line of products that includes the new Cordless Precision controller, the ChillStream controller, the Cordless MediaBoard keyboard, the HDMI cable and the USB Headset.
The Logitech Cordless Precision controller for PLAYSTATION 3 offers gamers an affordable cordless gamepad with the reliable 2.4 GHz Cordless Freedom technology, which provides precise control over a 30-foot range with no lag. Featuring Logitech's floating D-pad design, the Logitech Cordless Precision Controller for PLAYSTATION 3 is extremely accurate and responsive. And the advanced power-saving technology means that gamers can play for well over 150 hours on a single set of two AA batteries. The Logitech Cordless Precision controller for PLAYSTATION 3 is expected to be available in Europe when the console launches in March. The suggested retail price for the controller will be $39.99.
With its innovative active cooling system, the Logitech ChillStream controller for PLAYSTATION 3 keeps gamers' hands cool and dry and is the only PLAYSTATION 3-compatible controller to offer this exclusive, patented technology. On each side of the controller, three narrow vents push air directly onto gamers' four fingers, the base of their thumbs and the palms of their hands. Although it generates very little noise, a built-in 40 mm fan circulates up to 3.41 cubic feet of air every minute. In addition, rubber grips provide gamers with comfortable control -- even during intense action. Designed to complement the console, the Logitech ChillStream controller for PLAYSTATION 3 comes in two finishes -- metallic silver or glossy black -- and features metal detailing on the mesh intake cover. The Logitech ChillStream controller for PLAYSTATION 3 is expected to be available in March in Europe at a suggested retail price of $39.99.
For gamers using the online PLAYSTATION Network, the Logitech Cordless MediaBoard keyboard for PLAYSTATION 3 simplifies set up, communication and web browsing. The keyboard lets gamers set up profiles, manage accounts, enter URLs and send text messages without struggling with their game controller to navigate the on-screen keypad. The keyboard also provides a built-in touchpad and vertical scrollbar, so gamers have no need for a separate mouse for browsing web pages. The Logitech Cordless MediaBoard is expected to be available in March in Europe for a suggested retail price of $79.99.
