Apple Updates Boot Camp

Apple has released an update to its public beta of Boot Camp , the software that allows Intel-based Macs to run Windows XP.

Boot Camp 1.1.1 is available for download from Apple's Web site.

With Boot Camp installed, Intel-based Macs can run Windows XP on a separate partition on their internal hard disk drives. The software requires users to reboot from Mac OS X into Windows. While it is available as a public beta at the moment, Boot Camp will be integrated into Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard, according to Apple.

Boot Camp 1.1.1 improves support for Intel Core 2 Duo-based Macs. Apple recently announced new iMacs that use the Intel Core 2 Duo chip. Also improved in this release is Apple keyboard support and Wi-Fi support on Mac mini systems.

Download Boot Camp 1.1.1 at Boot Camp 1.1.1.
