Samsung Unveils 8GB Mobile Phone

Samsung Electronics Co. said Tuesday that it debuted a handset model equipped with 8 gigabytes of storage, the world's largest, enabling consumers to store MP3 music files and other multimedia contents.

The new model, SCH-B750, which can store up to 1,600 MP3 music files or 16 movies, is priced around 800,000 won (US$836.20), the world's third-largest mobile handset manufacturer said.

The mobile phone, however, has not been unveiled in overseas markets. A company spokesman said that the timeframe for its overseas launch has not been determined yet.
