Asus's Digital Home Concept at CeBIT 2006

Taiwanese Asus showcases new LCD TV, network DVD, wireless Skype phone, 3G mobile phone set now at CeBIT, Hannover.

With computing trend moving towards home and individuals, ASUS plans to make digital home a reality in 2006. Through the ASUS network DVD player, users can stream playback movies, music, photographs from the Internet or in the Viiv-based PCs, and play them on LCD TVs. The new Skype phone by Asus provides affordable communication via the Internet with no computer connection required. Last but not least, the 3G P305 smartphone completes the round up by incorporating mobile office ability and 3G video telephony altogether in a small package.

"The key to success in digital home is the convergence and interoperability of various electronic and computer devices," said Sunny Han, Director of ASUS Global Brand Center.

LCD TV
The streamlined yet modernly designed LCD TV aesthetically balances form and function. With built-in ASUS Splendid Video Intelligence Technology, the image is tuned to deliver vibrant images in conditions most favorable to human eyes. Combined with subwoofer, SRSR TruSurround XT TM, BBE ViVA, and built in Class-T digital amplifier, Aus promises a new audio experience. The Electronic Program Guide (EPG) system allows easy channel surfing and program searching interactive functions that puts users in control.

Network DVD

The network DVD player AS101 offers audio/video/picture streaming playback through Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections.
