The World's Smallest DLP Projector

The "TDP-FF1A" from Toshiba Japan is the world's smallest and lightest pocket sized DLP projector weighing only 565 grams. The device will be available at the Japanese market from January 23, 2006, and its price is expected to be 99,800 yen (US $830).

Weighing only 565 grams. It measures only 140 x 102 x 57mm the size of a postcard. It measures only. It can be powered by a battery too which docks at the back of the projector and lasts for 2 hours. The projector uses LED for luminance thus does require a cooling period before powering on after use.

The power consumption of TDP-FF1A is a mere 18 Watts. Features include 800x600 resolution, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 400 ANSI lumens, projection distance - 0.4 - the 2.5m and projection picture size support- to 11 - 68 inches. Included is a USB port, once you plug in your Flash drive it can read JPEG images automatically, thus eliminiating the need for a PC.

The TDP-FF1A also has VGA In, Video In, Audio In, Audio out and a speaker with output of 0.5 watts. An ideal companion for the projector is the foldable 23 inch screen which folds to A3 size.
