Cyberlink Showcases HD DVD Content Playback on PC

CyberLink showcases HD DVD content playback utilizing PowerDVD on an Intel PC platform, at this year?s Digital Hollywood in Santa Monica, September 19-21.

Digital Hollywood, the premier entertainment and technology conference in the US, is the site of this first HD DVD demo featuring advanced content HD DVD playback driven by CyberLink PowerDVD utilizing the processing power provided by the Intel platform.

For the playback demonstartion, CyberLink's Power DVD software player will run on an the Intel's platform powered by a Pentium D dual-core processor and featuring dual-channel DDR2 memory, PCI Express, and USB 2.0 connectivity.

The HD DVD format that offers increased disc capacity of up to 45GB (15GB per layer) for storing high definition content and adoption of core video formats such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC and VC1. HD DVD also enables creation of titles that include movie-synchronized bonus features, pop-up interactive menus, and Internet connectivity.
