CyberLink announced that PowerDVD 3.0 will be shipped with Hewlett-Packard Company's new HP DVD-writer dvd100i, its first combination DVD+RW/CD-RW drive.

CyberLink's PowerDVD is one of the most popular software-only DVD players and is well known for its playback support of various file and disc media formats. Using the DVD+RW format and integrating CyberLink's PowerDVD, HP's DVD-writer offers users multiple capabilities, including playback of video titles (DVD or Video CD), video files (MPEG-1 and MPEG-2), MP3 digital music files and Audio CDs. The HP DVD-Writer dvd100i is expected to begin shipping October 2001.
