TDK Blu-ray Disc

As a founding member of the Blu-ray Disc Association, TDK is playing an instrumental role in the development of blue laser technologies for a variety of consumer recording applications. In Japan, TDK has already launched Blu-ray Disc media. A U.S. launch will follow later this year. TDK rewritable Blu-ray Disc media features 25GB capacity and a blazing 36Mbps write speed.

As the leader in Blu-ray Disc development, TDK created DURABIS?, an innovative coating technology that protects the disc surface against scratches and other contaminants, eliminating the need for a disc cartridge.
