AOpen introduces XC Cube as mobile entertainment center

AOpen announced today that its XC Cube products being fully tested to meet ?mobile personal entertainment center? standards as required by today?s consumers, especially users of the younger generation.

In order to cope with various application scenarios, AOpen thoughtfully provides a wide range of accessories for XC Cube users. These accessories include many appliances supporting Bluetooth technology such as mobile phones, PDAs, notebook PCs, GPS, mice, remote controls, and watches. AOpen provides solutions for customers to use the XC Cube with these peripheral devices.

In laymen's words, ?To turn your XC Cube into the central control of Bluetooth peripherals, you can simply purchase a Bluetooth Dongle, which is designed with a USB connector so that it can be easily connected to your XC Cube.? according to Simon K.J. Lee, product manager of XC Cube Business Division.

A user can use XC Cube to process the photographs taken by his or her mobile phone with Bluetooth capability and then e-mail the photographs to friends.

A user can also use the XC Cube to edit the contact person data and short messages which he intends to send through his mobile phones.

A user can use XC Cube to play stereo music and listen to the music with a wireless Bluetooth stereo earphone so that he will not disturb the other people who does not want to listen to the music.

You can use a Bluetooth earphone (like the ones used for Bluetooth mobile phones) to connect to your XC Cube and make international phone calls through ?skype? Internet phone connections. This application enables a user to save tremendously on phone bills.

What?s more? With the XC Cube, the same user can also turn his mobile phone into a wireless remote control while watching a movie from a DVD player or making presentation in a conference. ?He can use the mobile phone to begin, stop, and pause the playback of a movie, or to operating his mobile phone as a pointing device at a conference,? Lee said.

?With a Dongle, a daughter can transmit wirelessly a photo she took at school from her XC Cube in her bed room to the main XC Cube of his father in their living room without the hassle of moving the photo files through a disc or memory stick,? Lee explained.

What is amazing about AOpen?s XC Cube wireless communication capability is that the product supports Bluetooth communication protocol version 1.2 so it can expand your wireless communication to a radius of 100 m (more than 100 yards) so that it will cover every corner in a home. It will not interfere with other wireless communication quality of a notebook PC. Many other similar products on the market does not support this functionality.
