Matrox intros Millennium P650 PCIe 128

Matrox has announced the Millennium P650 graphics card for PCI Express-based systems, which offers dual-display support and 128MB of RAM.

The card features dual 400 MHz RAMDACs with independent lookup tables for fully symmetric DualHead resolutions up to 1,920-x-1,440 per display and advanced Dual-DVI technology for resolutions up to 1,920-x-1,200 per digital flat panel, Matrox claims.

The P650 includes support for DualHead independent, DualHead stretched, DualHead Clone, DualHead Zoom and Portrait mode output configurations. The board is OpenGL and DirectX compliant.

The Millennium P650 PCIe 128 also features image quality and video settings, such as UltraSharp Display Output technology, gamma correctable Dual-Hardware Overlay support and adjustable proc-amp controls for hue, saturation, contrast and brightness, according to Matrox.

The card comes bundled with the Matrox PowerDesk-HF utility suite for adjusting board-level and multi-display parameters, and display drivers for Windows XP and 2000.

Matrox claims that the board will be available in April for £139 plus VAT.
