Message Text: Music download company Napster has signed a deal with UK communications provider NTL

Offering 500,000 music tracks for download priced GBP1.09 each, the announcement of the deal comes just before Apple launches its iTunes music download service in Europe. The Napster/NTL deal allows NTL to bundle Napster's peer-to-peer trading service for GBP9.95 per month from July 2004.

Napster is offering a limited period of low cost downloading for all users and a one month free trial if signed up with NTL to attract potential customers, reports VNU Net.
