 FujiFilm releases 8x DVD-R/DVD+R media

Message Text: Fuji Photo Film announced a new series 8x DVD-R and DVD+R media for data/video. Apart from the high quality ensured by the FujiFilm brand, the company has focused on the design offering the new media with stylish packages as well as different disc colors. Availability will start June 10 in the Japanese market first.

The 8x DVD-R media come in blue, red and multi-colored versions. Although the price has not been officially announced, it is estimated to be around JYen 600 (€4.5) / piece for single-colored and JYen 1,800 (€13.5) / 5 pcs for the colored version.

The 8x DVD+R will be available in multi-colored version only. The will be available in 5-pcs and 10pcs packages, at an approximate price of JYen 1,300 (€9.7) and JYen 2,500 (€18.6), respectively.

In addition, the company announced new DVD-RAM discs for 3x recording. The non-cartridged versions will be available for JYen 700 (€5.2) / piece and JYen 3,000 (€22.3) / 5pcs (colored version). Cartridged versions will be sold for JYen 1,400 (€10.4) / piece while the 5-pcs package (multi-colored) will cost 6,300 (€46.8) / 5pcs.
