Message Text: According to Digitimes, some Taiwanese manufacturers, in view of decreasing channel market demand for CD-Rs in the US and Europe, have reduced prices from US$0.18-0.20 to US$0.15-0.16 per disc to stimulate orders from distributors.

Taiwan’s top three optical disc makers, CMC Magnetics, Ritek, and Prodisc Technology, indicated that they are already focusing their business on DVD discs, and that their OEM prices for CD-Rs have not been affected by the price drop.
