Message Text: Primera Technology, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of CD and DVD duplicators and printers, announced today that its Composer-series DVD duplicators now record DVD±R media at up to 8x speeds.

The drive used on all Composer systems is the Pioneer DVR-107 drive which burns both DVD-R and DVD+R media at 8x and CD-Rs at 24x. Composer models will now burn 2 full hours of video (4.7GB) in less than 9 minutes. This is the fastest DVD recording speed currently available today, able of burning 2 full hours of video (4.7GB) in less than 9 minutes.

“The new Pioneer DVR-107 drive doubles the DVD recording speed from previous Composer systems,” says Mark D. Strobel, Primera’s VP of Sales & Marketing. “This means that twice as many discs per hour can be produced, increasing the efficiency of our systems as well as making cost-justification of in-house duplication easier than ever before.”
