Message Text: Prodisc Technology firmly denied a rumor that it was using old CD-R disc manufacturing equipment at its Ningbo, Zhejiang Province factory and the China government consequently had ordered it to stop production, as Taiwanese DigiTimes reports.

Prodisc began establishing a first plant in Ningbo in the first quarter of 2003 and a second plant later. The first plant, with about 20 CD-R disc production lines, started volume production last October. The second plant, with eight lines, was inaugurated on December 12. The second plant is to be expanded to 30 lines.
