Toshiba reveals 2 new DVD burners

The new Toshiba SD-R5272 supports writing of DVD+/-R at 8x and DVD+/- RWs at 4x. The drive's burning speed on CD's is 32x for CD R's and 16x for CD-RWs. The CD reading speed is 40x. In addition, the company announced a slim-type DVD burner for notebooks. Both drives are currently available in the market.
The retail package inludes the Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD burning software, used for video authoring. The package also includes a multilingual manual (also on cd), blank CDs and the connection cables.
The second Toshiba drive, the SD-R6372, comes along in the Slim Design for Notebooks and can burn DVD+Rs and DVD-Rs at 4x max, and DVD+RW media at 2,4x. It also writes CD-R's at 16x, CD-RWs at 10x, while the reading speed is 32x. |
