Can you imagine DVD's with the following warning attached "This DVD will be self-destroyed within 48 hours" ? Believe it or not, Disney in August will start the release of these self-destroying dvds.

These suicidal DVDs after having been removed of the packing, will be useless after 48 hours. Oxygen exposure makes the color of the DVD to change from purple to black becoming impenetrable from the laser beams. Buena Vista Home Entertainment, the unit of domestic videos of the Disney, intends with this initiative to rent its products without the necessity to keep a dvd-renting structure and thus diminishing costs.
