Ya Hsin Industrial announced that it is about to begin volume production of LCD TVs, DVD players and DVD+RW drives at a new factory in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province (China) in the first quarter of next year, according to Digitimes.
Ya Hsin has also received orders for 3,000-4,000 portable DVD players with 7-inch panels per month from each of several US and European distributors. The company also has completed the development of a 4x writing speed DVD+RW drive. Ya Hsin expects to boost shipments of these two products from its Suzhou new factory next year.
The company expects the US$30 million Suzhou investment will help to boost its sales from a targeted NT$15 billion this year to NT$22 billion next year.
