Message Text: Sharp announced the new Auvi SD-FV10 personal DVD player system featuring Sharp's 1-bit digital amplifier technology. The product delivers a sampling rate of 2.8MHz (about 2,800,000 times per second), which is 64 times higher than the sampling rate used for a regular CD.

The system incorporates the delta-sigma noise shaping technology that reduces delta-sigma modulation/quantization noise levels to reproduce highly realistic sounds. The 5.7kg unit has dimensions of 420x150x275.8 mm, and supports 4x CD to MD (Mini Disk) recording.

The company plans to manufacture 10,000 units of the SD-FV10 per month. The price of the device is not yet announced.
