Message Text: The new Sony CRX300A is the first combo drive manufactured by Sony supporting 48X CD recording/reading, 24x rewriting and 16x DVD-ROM reading.

The drive uses a 2MB cache buffer and supports the PowerBurn buffer Underrun Prevention technology, integrated by Sony .

Sony CRX300A will read the inserted discs at 40x maximum by default. The drive uses this speed in order to keep the operation noise at low levels. The 48x speed is achieved by pressing the Turbo Boost button.

The drive will be available to the market by July this year. The retail package will include Nero Burning ROM and InCD ( packet Writing) and the PowerDVD DVD player software.
