Philips announced the v2.00 of the Mount Rainier Test Suite. The new version supports now both CD and DVD MRW compliant devices and has several new fixes/features...
What's New:
Compliant to MRW specs: -CD-MRW v1.1(August 2001) -DVD+MRW v1.1 (October 2002) -Multi-Media Command (MMC) set for the MRW formats, v1.0, September 2002)
DVD+MRW functionality added, supports 120mm and 80mm DVD+RW
Verify after eject improved in light and heavy script (faster)
Log file is saved
Minimal blank command removed
A no disc status is added (sense code 02/3A/xx)
Issue ‘block number sometimes not correctly displayed' is solved Option to test drives with slot loader
Progress bar added
Disc type recognition (DVD)
Blank/written disc recognition
Several minor issues are solved
Operating System compatibility: compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP
Read errors in de-iced area (no user data) lead to warning instead of abort [not available in beta versions]
