I-O Data Device announced the "DVR-ABH4" dual DVD recorder with DVD-RAM support.The drive is expected to hi tthe market by end of July, at an estimated retail price of 33,300 yen.
A drive adopts the technology of the Hitachi "GSA-4040B". The drive supports 4X DVD+R/-R, 2X DVD-RW, 2.4X DVD+RW and 3X DVD-RAM writing. The supported DVD-ROM reading is 12X. For the CD format, the drive is a 24x/16x/32x CD-RW recorder.
The drive supports dual sided DVD-RAM discs but not the cartridge type, while 2.6GB DVD-RAM media can only be read.
The retail package includes "B's Recorder GOLD5 BASIC" CD/DVD writing software, "B's CLiP5" for packet-writing, "PowerDVD XP" for DVD playback, "VideoStudio 7 SE" video editing software, "DVD MovieWriter 2.0 SE" and 3D title creation. |
