Message Text: Memorex Products today announced a national consumer price realignment program to simplify pricing of the company's CD-recordable media. Through the elimination of consumer rebates, consumers can now easily evaluate the purchase of Memorex CD recordable media based on quality and price, further demonstrating to consumers the value of the Memorex brand.

"The CD recordable media market has matured, and it is time for pricing to stabilize," said Michael Golacinski, president and CEO of Memorex. "By implementing a price realignment program, Memorex will offer lower prices for the most popular CD recordable media packs, thereby delivering the same value to consumers everyday. We are eliminating the product promotions that retailers and consumers tell us are too complex and very confusing. We anticipate that this action also will provide retailers with more consistent volume sales."

Memorex will lower the suggested retail prices of its industry-leading CD-R media in 50- and 100-pack spindles, beginning April 1, delivering consistent value to consumers.

Memorex currently holds the number one market share position in the CD recordable category.
