Message Text: Dr. Rawstock, a Los Angeles, California company that specializes in Final Cut Pro training and solutions, has introduced its AtomicMedia brand of DVD-R 4X recordable discs. The disks are designed for professional filmmakers using the Pioneer A05 (or compatible) mechanism and for use with Apple's video editing and DVD authoring applications including Final Cut Pro, iDVD and DVD Studio Pro.

AtomicMedia DVD-R 4X discs can record 4.7GB in less than 15 minutes (when used in a compatible 4x drive), according to Lowell Kay, Dr RawStock's president. They've been "battle-tested" at Dr RawStock's Apple certified Digital Film School and Final Cut Pro edit suites, Kay added.

AtomicMedia DVD-R 4X discs are available immediately. They're sold individually (US$3.29 per disk, including case) or in bulk spool packs of 25 discs for $64.75.

Note that before using AtomicMedia DVD-R 4X discs, the company recommends that its customers research Pioneer's Web site to assure their hardware compatibility. Failure to match compatible drive technology and media may cause serious hardware damage.
