Boosted by demand for DVD player single chips, Mediatek posted its second-highest monthly revenues in November at NT$2.945 billion, down 3% from the previous month but up 43.3% year-on-year.
Cumulative revenues for the first 11 months of 2002 reached NT$26.447 billion, up 98.9% compared with the same period last year, and fulfilled 103% of Mediatek’s full-year target of NT$25.809 billion. The company said it might raise its financial forecast.
The company is expected to post revenues of NT$2.8 billion to NT$2.85 billion in December, which would will bring its fourth-quarter revenues to NT$8.8 billion, up 30% from the year-earlier period. Fourth-quarter gross profits are projected at NT$3.35 billion.
The company is likely to post net profits of NT$25.5 per share this year, surpassing its estimate of NT$20.72. |
