Message Text: Summit CD Manufacture Pte Ltd. Singapore has completed the internationally approved Anti-Piracy Compliance Program developed by the International Recording Media Association (IRMA). The IRMA Anti-Piracy Compliance Program (APCP) is well established in both North America and Europe and is demonstrating early success in Asia under the direction of Stephen Payne. Payne comments, "This is the first plant to be certified in Singapore and the third in Asia. The entire Summit team under the leadership of the plant program manager Kong Chee Min, have been working hard for the past eight months to achieve this goal. I am proud to have coached them through the process and I am sure they are pleased they have successfully achieved their goal of certifying in the APCP."

Kong Chee Min added, "Apart from quality and service, our success in Summit rests on our firm belief in the respect for the protection of intellectual property rights. We are very happy to be certified by IRMA under this highly recognized APCP program. I would like to thank my team for the hard work and efforts in many trials and customer education in making this a success. However, this will not be the end as educating our customers on our verification requirements and exploring new verification techniques and procedures continues to be in our priority list."

With the addition of Summit CD, a total of 34 plants have achieved Anti-Piracy Certification since the program's inception and over 70 plants are enrolled worldwide. Lee Kerk Chong, Chairman and Managing Director commented, "We are proud to have Summit CD Manufacture Pte Ltd, Singapore being the first optical media plant in Singapore and South East Asia to obtain certification by IRMA . Joining the program and obtaining certification re-enforces Summit's commitment as part of the global effort to fight the plaque of piracy surrounding us today and our strong belief in protecting the rights of artists and creators of intellectual property. Our Singapore plant shall be the first to obtain certification and going forward it is in our plans to have our other plants certified under the program."

Tony Perez, Worldwide Director of IRMA's Anti-Piracy Compliance Program said, "As the first plant in Singapore to become certified in the Anti-Piracy Compliance Program, Summit CD sends a strong message to content holders about their commitment to fight piracy and protect intellectual property rights."
