Earlier today, we posted the news about Sanyo's new "HD-BURN" technology. More information came out claiming the drive will support 4X writing with DVD+R/+RW formats, 24X writing (CD format), 10x re-writing (HS-RW) and 40X reading (CD), 36X writing & 80X reading (under HD-BURN format), 2MB buffer and of course BURN-Proof (at both CD and HD-BURN formats). A mass-production start it is schedule in January, 2003 after the 4X DVD+R/+RW standard finalized.
