Message Text: Hitachi Maxell will start selling 240min recordable media from August 26th in the Japan area. There are two types of media: a) double sided DVD-R media (DR-V94.1P) capable of visually recording a total of 240 minutes (9.4GB). High reliance of gluing techniques and utilization of highly accurate stampers were able to realize lower error rates, and b) Double sided DVD-RW media (DRW2-V94.1P) capable of visually recording and rewriting for a total of 240 minutes (9.4GB). High reliance of gluing techniques and utilization of highly accurate stampers were able to realize lower error rates. Corresponding with CPRM (Content Protection for Recordable Media) technology.
