YAMAHA Japan shows in the latest (3rd) DVD+RW Asian/Pacific seminar ,taken in Tokyo, a new drive for the DVD+R/+RW recording format. YAMAHA's new model supports 2.4x writing (DVD+R), 2.4x re-writing (DVD+RW), 16x reading (DVD), 24x writing (CD), 10x re-writing (CD-RW) and 40x reading (CD). The recording technology for DVD+R/+RW format is CLV, while for the CD format is P-CAV.
The drive would probably also support DVD+MRW format, Mt. Rainier for DVD+RW format. There are no news about the shipping date and/or expected price...
