 Pioneer announces 2X writing for Blu-Ray discs!

Message Text: Pioneer Japan, announced that after co-operating with TDK, the developement of a new composition for the recording layer that permits 2X writing with Blu-Ray discs! The compatibility is expected to kept at the same levels of 1X writing...By the time Blu-Ray hits the market, this new technology should have been finalized and available for users.

Both companies plan to show this new technology at the Internation "ISOM/ODS2002" that will held from 7-11th of July on the U.S. Hawaii island (the State of Hawaii)
