Message Text: B.H.A® Corporation announced today the latest version of B's Recorder GOLD for Windows®, GOLD5. An all-inclusive CD/DVD recording utility, the new feature-rich version adds several significant enhancements including an all-new GUI, a modular architecture, an audio editor and added support for industry's newest line DVD+R/ +RW and DVD-R/-RW combination. Fully comprehensive and "out-of-the-box" ready, B's Recorder GOLD5 provides an intuitive recording capability with step-by-step wizard functions to enable even first time users a successful burn of their audio, video and data files without opening the manual. Advanced options give experienced users the level of professional control and creativity they need.

Compatibility with the new +RW Forum and RDVD Council compliant "super combo" and "multi-drives" allows GOLD5 users to burn everything from gigabyte data files to blended audio clips, even edited MPEG video to any of today's CD and DVD formats. Not only does this broad compliance allow the user to choose the best media format for the application, it also enables users to switch between systems and formats without having to re-learn applications or commands. Depending on the multiple support drive used, B's Recorder GOLD5 can burn to either DVD-R/-RW/RAM or DVD+R/+RW as well as earlier generation CD-R/-RW, CD-Audio and CD-Video media.

The comprehensive digital audio editor allows both consumers and pro-sumers to play, edit, mix, and analyze their audio files. GOLD5 users can apply special effects including fade, equalizer, doppler, mechanize, echo, reverse, in addition to completely remastering and restoring old recordings. Connecting tape or record players, users have the ability to digitize, sequence and burn audio tracks directly to the computer from a complete range of sources.

"B's Recorder GOLD5 was designed to provide users with some of the technical capabilities usually reserved for high-end utilities, with an unmatched ease-of-use that would encourage novice users to grow their creativity," said Bryan Love, Director Marketing & Business Development for B.H.A Software Corporation. "Combining B's GOLD5 with the new combo and multi-drives allows the user to make a media choice not based off of what the drive will burn, but based on what the content is to be used for."

B's Recorder GOLD5 allows users to perform either single or multi-recording sessions for applications involving data, audio or video files, as well as any combination of the three on a single disk without sacrificing storage capacity. GOLD5 automatically formats write once and re-writable DVD media, enabling users to write files quickly and easily, perform whole disk duplication or random access backup functions, all through the software's drag-n-drop interface.

New Features

Compatible with Windows 98/98 SE, Windows ME, Windows XP, 2000 and NT operating systems, B's Recorder GOLD5 supports MP3 encoding, decoding and burning, audio filter, WAV editor and at once conversion, CD label editor/printer, and prevents buffer underruns with BurnProof(TM) and JustLink(TM) compatibility.
