Just 250 g light, under 15 mm flat and hardly larger than a CD-R: the external Ricoh CD-R/RW writer MP8088P. Optimized for mobile applications with notebooks, it lets you write data to CD-R or CD-RW or read existing data anywhere.Owing to its USB 2.0 interface compatibility, high writing speeds of 8x for CD-R and CD-RW as well as reading speeds of 24x are achieved. USB 1.1 is also supported, however, due to technology at lower speeds.
The elegant technical design of the top-loader harmonizes perfectly with the sophisticated notebooks of the latest generation. Its technical features also underscore the top-notch claims of the Ricoh MP8088P. For example, the Ricoh-developed JustLink™ function effectively prevents «buffer underrun errors» and protects the user against «burned» CD blanks. It supports the writing modes Disc at Once, Session at Once, Track at Once and Packet Write as well as all important writing formats CD-DA, CD-ROM, CD-ROM XA, CD-Extra, CD-I, VideoCD, PhotoCD (in connection with optional software) and CD text. Data transfer speeds are 1200 kb/sec. (write) and 3600 kb/sec. (read).
The external CD-R/RW writer Ricoh MP8088P is delivered as a complete kit, containing a USB cable, a power supply, comprehensive software (AHEAD nero and AHEAD InCD), high-quality Ricoh CD-R and CD-RW media as well as a QuickStart manual and a User Manual (on CD).
