Message Text: LiteOn will introduce soon a new CD-RW with the codename "LTR-40125S". The drive supports 40x writing, 12x re-writing and 48x reading speeds. Its internal buffer is 2MB and supports "Smart-Burn", "Smart-X" technologies and "Mt. Rainier" format. The drive uses Zone-CLV as the main recording technology.

In order to achieve the 40x writing speed, 4 zones are being used: 20x -> 24x -> 32x -> 40x. The drive is expected to burn a full 84min CD at 3:16minutes. No information about the drive's price or shipping date is yet known.
