 Apple Said to Work With LG Display on a Foldable iPhone

Samsung is already known to be working on a foldable smartphone called Galaxy X that is likely to be launched some ime next year. Now, it looks like Apple is also in plans to launch such a smartphone, using displays from LG Display.

According to a recent report by The Investor citing "industry sources," Apple is likely prepping a foldable iPhone in collaboration with LG Display. LG Display is said to have created a task force to develop an OLED screen that is foldable and this is said to be used on an iPhone that is expected to be launched in 2020. The report further points out that LG Innotek is also prepping flexible printed circuit board or RF PCB for the foldable iPhones.

The report goes on stating that the production of the foldable OLED panel will start in early 2019 so that the foldable iPhone might be launched in 2020.
