Sanyo announced today the upcoming CRD-BP1600P.
The drive supports:
32X Write, 10X re-writing, 40X (CAV) reading
ATAPI Interface
Buffer size 4MB
Half-height PC Built-in Type
Access Time 130 msec (CD-ROM/R)
Access Time 130 msec (CD-RW)
Dimensions: 148.0(W) X 192.4(D) X42.3(H)mm
BURN-Proof Technology implemented
No information posted about how the drive reaches 32x writing speed using Zone-CLV writing technology. We have some information about this, but until the drive arrive for tests, we cannot reviele anything. For sure it would be very interesting... :-)
