Message Text: Freecom's fastest CD writer records CD-Rs with a 24x write speed and re-records CD-RWs with a 10x rewrite speed. With the new high-speed drive, the recording time for a complete 74-minute CD (650 MB) is reduced to less than four minutes. This high performance drive for frequent users also has a 40x read speed. The Freecom internal 24x10x40x Classic burner is connected to the PC via the IDE interface.

With the new Freecom drive, data can be secured quickly and easily. Presentations can be saved on CD or professional multimedia CDs produced. The in-built Burnproof Technology always provides the necessary safety and prevents buffer under runs. "Scorched" CDs are a thing of the past. The simple installation and operation make the 24x10x40x the optimal burner for both professionals and demanding home users.

Freecom supplies the new 24x10x40x burner together with the latest burning software ROXIO Easy CD Creator 5.0 and Direct CD. Also included are: the IDE ribbon connector cable, a CD-R, CD marker pen and the multilingual handbook. The Freecom 24x10x40x CD-RW burner is available in the shops from October 2001.
